Sporting Charleroi faces three key departures as Mario Kohnen awaits confirmation
The summer transfer window in Belgium opens this Wednesday, June 17, with Sporting Charleroi set for a busy period. Three first-team departures are expected, while Mario Kohnen’s future as head coach is expected to be resolved within days.
Only one first-team exit has been confirmed so far: midfielder Jules Gaudin has left for French Ligue 2 side Stade Lavallois. Incoming, defender Noah Solheid has joined from Seraing to bolster Charleroi’s central defence.
Three further sales are anticipated, with midfielders Etienne Camara, Yacine Titraoui, and Parfait Guiagon all expected to leave. Camara is reportedly close to a four-year deal with Panathinaikos, with a reported transfer fee of five million euros.
Yacine Titraoui, aged 22, has been linked with Olympique de Marseille, though no concrete offer has materialised. The Algerian international, selected for the 2026 World Cup squad, remains valued at seven million euros on Transfermarkt.

Parfait Guiagon, 25, will also depart despite a contract extension signed in January until June 30, 2028. The extension was reportedly aimed at increasing his market value, which has reached five million euros since his arrival in August 2023. Charleroi will need to replace these three players. Amine Boukamir and Yassine Khalifi are expected to take on greater roles in midfield, while the club is also seeking competition for striker Aurélien Scheidler. Mario Kohnen, currently serving as interim head coach, is set to be officially confirmed in the role. The Eupen native has impressed sporting director Nicolas Frutos during his interim spell. The club’s transfer activity follows a quiet start to the summer window, with Charleroi now preparing for a reshaped squad ahead of the new season.
