Twente eyes Arsenal prodigy Rosiak as Kurowski precedent looms
FC Twente have entered the market for 20‑year‑old defender Michal Rosiak, centre‑back currently plays for Slask Wroclaw but spent his formative years at Arsenal, where he featured as a right‑back and a controlling midfielder.
Rosiak moved from Poland to London at eleven and joined Arsenal’s youth system in 2016, remaining there until 2025. During his time he was deployed primarily as a right‑back or a deep‑lying midfielder, honing his defensive and play‑making skills.
In 33 appearances for Arsenal’s under‑18 side he recorded twelve goals and thirteen assists, establishing a reputation as a free‑kick specialist. Those statistics underline his offensive contribution despite his defensive position.
Arsenal released Rosiak back to Poland in 2025, and he is now contracted with Slask Wroclaw for one more season. The Polish club prefers to keep him but acknowledges he could leave on a free transfer next year.
FC Twente want to bring Rosiak to the Eredivisie, and Slask may be forced to sell given the looming contract expiry. The transfer fee has not been disclosed by GOAL.
In June, FC Twente and technical director Erik ten Hag completed the signing of left‑back Krzysztof Kurowski from Slask Wroclaw on a four‑year contract, providing a recent precedent for such Polish acquisitions.
