Wilson Isidor and Jean‑Ricner Bellegarde named in Haiti World Cup squad

Haiti have named a 26‑player squad for the 2026 World Cup. Sunderland striker Wilson Isidor and Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Jean‑Ricner Bellegarde are among the selections. The Caribbean side open Group C against Scotland on 13 June. The qualification marks Haiti's second World Cup appearance, the first since 1974. The team topped their Concacaf qualifying group largely thanks to Duckens Nazon, the nation's all‑time top scorer with 44 goals in 76 appearances. Leverton Pierre withdrew after a muscle injury. Garven Metusala, capped 16 times for Haiti, replaces him in the squad. Goalkeepers are Johnny Placide (Bastia), Alexandre Pierre (Sochaux) and Josue Duverger (FC Cosmos Koblenz). Defenders include Carlens Arcus (Angers), Wilguens Pauguain (Zulte Waregem), Duke Lacroix (Colorado Springs), Martin Expérience (Nancy), Jean‑Kevin Duverne (KAA Gent), Ricardo Ade (LDU Quito), Hannes Delcroix (Lugano), Keeto Thermoncy (Young Boys Berne) and Garven Metusala (Colorado Springs). Midfielders are Carl‑Fred Sainthe (El Paso Locomotive), Jean‑Jacques Danley (Philadelphia Union), Pierre Woodenski (Violette) and Dominique Simon (Tatran Presov). Forwards comprise Louicius Deedson (Dallas), Ruben Providence (Almere City), Josue Casimir (Auxerre), Derrick Etienne (Toronto), Wilson Isidor (Sunderland), Duckens Nazon (Esteghlal), Frantzdy Pierrot (Caykur Rizespor), Yassin Fortune (Vizela) and Lenny Joseph (Ferencvaros). After Scotland, Haiti will face five‑time champions Brazil and 2022 semi‑finalists Morocco in Group C. The schedule completes Haiti's World Cup programme.
