Ambrosini recommends Club de Bruges to Francesco Camarda

Massimo Ambrosini, former captain of AC Milan, believes that Club Brugge is the ideal destination for the eighteen‑year‑old Italian striker Francesco Camarda, who needs regular playing minutes to continue his development.
The need for playing minutes
Camarda is today regarded as one of the great prospects of Italian football, but he struggles to get playing time at AC Milan. The competition is intense and opportunities to stand out remain scarce, according to Ambrosini.
“When I see Tresoldi, I think of Camarda,” said Massimo Ambrosini, recalling the young Italian’s path at Club Brugge, where Nicolò Tresoldi already has the chance to make himself noticed.
He shouldn’t have stayed in Milan this year, but should have gone to play elsewhere. Not necessarily in Italy, perhaps even abroad, he added, emphasizing that the player must regain confidence, develop and play thirty high‑level matches before Milan takes him back.
Belgium, the Netherlands and contractual hurdles
Ambrosini mentioned Belgium and the Netherlands as interesting destinations, stressing Club Brugge as an environment conducive to Camarda’s development, where he could accumulate the essential minutes.
Valon Behrami, present on the set, reminded that Camarda’s contract could hinder a possible move, with Belgian and Dutch clubs potentially facing difficulties in covering his salary.
According to Ambrosini, once the young striker has played a substantial number of high‑level matches, AC Milan will be able to bring him back as a transformed player, ready to contribute more.
At eighteen, Francesco Camarda is already seen as one of Italy’s great prospects, and regular playing time could accelerate his rise to the national team.
