Barcelona gets green light for Raphinha after thigh tests

Barcelona has received an encouraging sign: Brazilian Raphinha has been cleared after thigh tests carried out following the injury suffered with the national team. The diagnosis allows the winger to be available for the club's next fixture against Getafe, bolstering the team's attack in the competition in SPAIN on 19 SEPTEMBER.

Medical tests and diagnosis

Raphinha returned to the club to undergo examinations after a thigh discomfort he experienced during his international duties, in the LaLiga EA Sports competition. The Brazilian player withdrew from the Brazil friendly against India because of that issue, but Barcelona's doctors did not detect any injury.

The Brazilian had celebrated his second goal against Sevilla FC at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium on 19 September, in Spain. According to y Sport, on Friday Raphinha was examined at the Barça facilities and the specialists confirmed there was no damage to the tissue. The striker's absence from Brazil's squad was the only immediate consequence.

With the medical report, the player should be available for the next match against Getafe, although coach Hansi Flick might be cautious when setting his starting eleven, as October brings highly significant fixtures. The image of the goal was released by Getty Images.

Raphinha's good form is reflected in his fourteen goals already scored in the competition, making him a key component of the blaugrana attack at the start of the season.

The club hopes that the rest of its players return without issues from their international commitments next week, while Flick's team prepares to resume LaLiga, the top Spanish league, after a three‑week break. The next away fixture will be in Seville.
