Dynamo Moscow bolsters its attack with the loan of Josué Casimir

AJ Auxerre has confirmed the loan of Haitian international Josué Casimir, 24, to Dynamo Moscow, a Russian club currently third in the league, with a purchase option included. The player, who was at the World Cup last summer, leaves AJ Auxerre where he scored only one goal in 31 Ligue 1 appearances last season.

Path of a Burgundian winger

After five seasons at Le Havre, the 24‑year‑old signed with AJ Auxerre during the 2025 summer transfer window. Originating from Burgundy, he was regarded as a versatile asset.

At AJ Auxerre, he scored only one goal in 31 Ligue 1 matches last season, without any assists. He logged 1,521 minutes of play, including 16 starts.

This season start, he appeared as a substitute against Lens (2‑5 loss on August 22) and against Angers (1‑3 loss on August 29). He remains under contract with AJ Auxerre until June 2028.

Dynamo Moscow, a Russian challenge

Dynamo Moscow currently occupies third place in the Russian league, with the ambition of aiming for the title. The club has never won the championship in its recent history, which represents a major challenge for the newcomer.

The loan is set for the current season, with a purchase option for Dynamo Moscow. The Russian market was open until Thursday evening, the date when the transfer was completed.

In the same deal, AJ Auxerre sent Chilean centre‑back Francisco Sieralta, 29, to Piast Gliwice in the Polish top division. This departure fits the club’s strategy of freeing players deemed unwanted.

Heading to Russia, Josué Casimir will join Dynamo Moscow to try to prove his worth and contribute to the title race. Supporters hope that the young Haitian international, former Le Havre player, will establish himself in the Russian league.
