The 33-year-old Colombian left-back, Deiver Machado, former of RC Lens and FC Nantes, signed this Friday during the transfer window with Rodina Moscow in Russia, after being spotted Saturday at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati where he was tipped as a future signing.

Rodina Moscow seeks an experienced left-back

Rodina Moscow, competing in the Russian league, aims to strengthen its left-back position with a player capable of playing as a full‑back or wing‑back. According to Transfermarkt, the contract was confirmed this Friday.

Machado wore the colours of RC Lens from 2021 to 2025, playing more than a hundred matches with the Sang et Or. His move to FC Nantes was announced in December 2025, before heading to Russia.

Before this transfer, the player was touted as a target for FC Cincinnati and even visited the TQL Stadium on Saturday. The talks ultimately fell through, and the American project was dropped.

For FC Nantes and RC Lens, the signing by Rodina Moscow definitively closes the Deiver Machado chapter, a few months after his stint in the Hexagon. The French club thus regains its squad freed of the former left‑back.

Rodina Moscow gains an experienced recruit who can quickly adapt to Russian football. For his part, Deiver Machado begins a new chapter of his career in Russia, at 33 years old.
