Galatasaray's onslaught leaves Stuttgart trailing in UEFA Champions League

The Ali Sami Yen arena simmered with heat as Galatasaray pressed Stuttgart from the first whistle. Aleksei Batrakov struck twice, giving Les Sang et Or a lead they would carry into the half‑time break in a UEFA Champions League group match.
Galatasaray did not waste time, attacking Stuttgart's defence from the kickoff and forcing them to respond aggressively. At the second minute, Atakan Karazor was booked for a foul.
Stuttgart created their first opportunity in the eighth minute when Maximilian Mittelstädt crossed into the box. The Turkish goalkeeper saved the ensuing shot, Jamie Leweling missed the frame and the ball struck both posts before going out.
At the twelfth minute Batrakov opened the scoring. He doubled the lead three minutes later.
Stuttgart tried repeatedly to respond, but chances from Bilal El Khannouss and Undav were wasted.
