Inter seeks reduced extension for Calhanoglu as Juventus watches

Inter and Hakan Calhanoglu find themselves at a crossroads: on one side the club wants to close the contract before the expiry on 30 June 2027, on the other Juventus watches the negotiation closely, ready to intervene if the renewal does not take off.

The economic conditions at the centre of the negotiation

The next meeting between agent Gordon Stipic and the new sporting director Dario Baccin will be the first step to define the future of the Turkish midfielder. Currently Calhanoglu receives about €6.5 million net per season; the proposal foresees a two‑year extension at €4.5 million plus bonuses.

Inter wants to avoid reaching the end of the contract without an agreement, aware of the role of Calhanoglu in the technical project of Miralem Chivu. However, the club must take into account recent physical problems: the player is sidelined in the box due to an adductor injury.

From a sporting point of view, Calhanoglu has already scored 2 goals in 4 appearances this season, an element that still makes him central for the nerazzurra team.

Turkish clubs, including Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe and Beşiktaş, are monitoring the situation, but Juventus has shown interest in recent months and could step in if the agreement with Inter does not materialise.

Baccin will have to assess the requests of the entourage and understand whether there is room to extend the relationship with one of the main technical references of the Beneamata.
