Juventus' Martínez deal hits €10m hurdle as Milan rule out Stones

🇮🇹

Juventus have reached a basic agreement with Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez, with the player reportedly accepting a salary spread through 2029, but Aston Villa are demanding at least €10 million plus bonuses to release him. The Bianconeri remain the leading name in Juventus' search for a new goalkeeper, but added that the club is also evaluating other profiles. He mentioned Vicario and Milinković‑Savić as realistic solutions, while noting that Carnesecchi remains the most difficult dream target. Carnevali stressed that Juventus are in no rush to finalize a deal.

AC Milan clarified that centre‑back John Stones is not among the profiles they are seriously pursuing, a statement made by Matteo Moretto on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel. Instead, the Rossoneri consider Sporting Lisbon’s 2001‑born Gonçalo Inácio an important name, although the deal would be complicated by high costs and Sporting’s desire to cash in. Milan are not in a hurry to close any transfer.

Inter Milan continue to monitor Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones, with Nottingham Forest reportedly setting their sights on the player after the sale of Anderson to Manchester City. The Nerazzurri risk losing Jones if they wait too long, recalling previous missed targets such as Palestra and Nico Paz. Jones is liked for his technical qualities, intensity and versatility in midfield.

Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna said any evaluation of Romelu Lukaku will be postponed until after the World Cup, noting the Belgian’s recent goal in the tournament. Manna also spoke about striker Lorenzo Lucca, saying the club expects significant growth from him after a substantial investment and that Lucca already has offers and must challenge himself. Napoli will assess options with the new coach while keeping economic balance in mind.

Roma are intensifying contacts with Real Betis for full‑back Anass Salah‑Eddine, who said negotiations have entered a concrete phase. The Moroccan international is currently involved in the World Cup, but that has not stopped the clubs from working behind the scenes. Roma aim to sort out outgoing deals to create room for incoming business.

Lazio are also looking at a price tag for a Serie B target, with La dello Sport reporting that the club is assessing the financial terms. The Giallorossi’s interest adds another layer to the busy Serie A transfer market as clubs balance ambition with sustainability. All clubs will continue negotiations as the World Cup progresses.
