Zidane opens his squad at 20:45 against Turkey
A new era officially begins for the Bleus: Zinédine Zidane's first match in charge of the France national team will be played at 8:45 p.m. on Friday 25 September, during the away fixture in Turkey for the opening round of the Nations League.
An early kickoff
Viewers used to 9 p.m. kick‑offs will have to tune in earlier, because the Turkey‑France match will start at 8:45 p.m. TF1 will begin its broadcast at 8:35 p.m. to accompany Zidane’s debut as manager.
The match will be commentated by Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu, with Saber Desfarges alongside the Bleus. This early broadcast breaks with the round‑hour schedule that has become familiar in the Champions League and in several major leagues.
The fixture is especially anticipated after the revelation of Zidane’s first squad list a few days earlier. The new manager will already have to cope with several absences before this first gathering.
This trip marks the start of a busy spell: France will play four games in eleven days – Turkey on Friday, Belgium on Monday, Italy on 2 October, then Belgium again on 5 October.
To miss nothing from Zidane’s first steps, the key time to remember remains 8:45 p.m. on Friday evening.
