BOYLE Sports boosts England penalty loss odds to 5/1
BOYLE Sports has increased its World Cup betting boost for England to lose on penalties from 3/1 to 5/1, with manager Thomas Tuchel overseeing the Three Lions. The offer applies to new UK customers who place a qualifying stake. The promotion also includes a £40 free bet for eligible users.
To claim the boost, customers must add the selection to their betslip, set a stake of at least £10 and submit the bet. The free bet is credited after the first settlement of any qualifying wager. The promotion is limited to mobile users, with a maximum stake of £10 per bet.
England have contested eleven penalty shootouts at major tournaments, losing six of them. Past defeats include Stuart Pearce in 1990, Gareth Southgate in 1996 and David Batty in 1998. Additional losses came against Portugal in 2004 and 2006, Italy in 2014, and the Euro 2020 final versus Italy, while England beat Switzerland in 2024.
The 2026 World Cup will be staged across the United States, Canada and Mexico. Matches run from 8 pm Thursday 11 June to 8 pm Sunday 19 July 2026. ITV and BBC will broadcast the tournament in the United Kingdom.
BOYLE Sports includes a responsible gambling notice, urging players to set limits and seek help if needed. Resources listed include GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline. The promotion references the 1996 song by Baddiel and Skinner that lamented England’s penalty woes.
