OGC Nice target Marseille forward Hamed Junior Traoré

OGC Nice have emerged as a contender for the signature of 26‑year‑old forward Hamed Junior Traoré, who completed a permanent move to Olympique de Marseille this summer for a reported €7.5 million after a loan from AFC Bournemouth and struggled with injuries.

Traoré's campaign at Olympique de Marseille was hampered by injuries, restricting him to 19 appearances across all competitions. In those matches he contributed three goals and two assists.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Genoa are monitoring the forward, although they could encounter competition from other Ligue 1 clubs. The Italian side's interest adds another layer to the transfer speculation surrounding Traoré.

AJ Auxerre, who previously secured Traoré on loan, are also closely tracking his situation. La Provence indicated the club may have already put forward a loan proposal.

OGC Nice's pursuit, highlighted by La Provence, positions the French club as a leading candidate to acquire the striker. Nice's interest follows the recent confirmation of Traoré's permanent transfer to the Vélodrome for €7.5 million.

Traoré originally arrived at Olympique de Marseille from AFC Bournemouth on a loan that contained an obligation to buy should certain criteria be fulfilled. The clause was activated, resulting in the €7.5 million permanent deal.

The details were first published by La Provence and later circulated through GFFN. The report outlines the multiple clubs monitoring the player's future.

The story was compiled by Luke Entwistle for GFFN. His coverage highlights the growing interest from several Ligue 1 clubs.
