Anderlecht fans protest at Pairi Daiza zoo, target Coucke

The BCS of RSC Anderlecht has escalated its protest against owner Marc Coucke by hanging a banner inside the Pairi Daiza zoo, a property co‑owned by Coucke, after earlier displays at Lotto Park, the Neerpede training complex and the owner’s Merelbeke castle. The zoo banner reads “Reste au zoo et pars d’ici !”, demanding Coucke’s departure.

The core of Anderlecht’s supporters has intensified its dissent after a trophy‑less season, a fourth‑place league finish and a lost cup final. At Lotto Park and Neerpede, banners displayed the slogans “Nous comprenons mieux les résultats des neuf dernières années maintenant !” and “Pas de rats chez nous”, referencing Olivier Renard’s move to the Mauves and rumours about Sebastien Pocognoli joining the bench.

Earlier graffiti reading “Coucke dehors” appeared on several locations. A banner at Coucke’s Merelbeke castle bore the message “Sois noble et casse‑toi. Ne nous oblige pas…”, directly targeting the businessman.

Marc Coucke is a co‑owner of the Pairi Daiza wildlife park. The latest banner inside the zoo therefore targets one of his most visible commercial projects.

The supporters’ chant has consistently called for Coucke to leave the club. Their latest slogan “Reste au zoo et pars d’ici !” reinforces that demand within the animal park’s premises.

The BCS indicates that further actions are likely as the season progresses. Their campaign underscores mounting pressure on the club’s ownership.
