Juventus targets Federico Chiesa in €20m loan bid
Juventus have appointed Giovanni Carnevali as team manager and CEO, and the club is reportedly preparing a €20 million loan offer for Federico Chiesa from Liverpool. The move forms part of Juventus' "Made in Italy" strategy to rebuild the squad with Italian players.
Chiesa arrived at Liverpool in 2024 from Juventus in a deal reported at £12.5 million. Under Arne Slot he has started only two Premier League matches last season.
The Italian forward earns roughly £150,000 per week, and a loan would relieve Liverpool of that wage burden. Juventus hope his familiarity with Luciano Spalletti, with whom he worked for the Italian national team, will make him a versatile attacking option.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also linked with departures of Cody Gakpo, who is said to be attracting interest from Tottenham, and Mohamed Salah, who has agreed to terminate his £400,000‑per‑week contract a year early.
