Lommel SK announces departure of four promotion heroes

🇧🇪 yesterday

Lommel SK confirmed that four players who helped the Limburg side secure promotion to the Jupiler Pro League will leave the club as their contracts end or they return to parent clubs. The departures include Filip Stevanovic, Lautaro López, Robin van Duiven and Dominion Ohaka.

Lommel SK earned promotion to the Jupiler Pro League by first winning the Promotion Play‑offs and then succeeding in the barrage matches against FCV Dender. The club now prepares its return to the top tier with ambitious plans.

The four departing players are Filip Stevanovic, Lautaro López, Robin van Duiven and Dominion Ohaka. Robin van Duiven, who arrived on loan from PSV, will be immediately loaned to Real Valladolid, while Lautaro López and Dominion Ohaka also return to their parent clubs after their loan spells.

Filip Stevanovic’s contract is set to expire shortly and Lommel SK has decided not to extend it. The decision was communicated by the club alongside the announcement of the other departures.

Three additional players – Jesper Tolinsson, Rubin Seigers and Joey Pelupessy – also see their contracts run out, but no decision has been taken yet.

Lommel SK’s sporting director emphasized that the club will continue to shape the squad ahead of the new season, thanking the departing players for their role in the historic promotion. The club aims to build a competitive roster for its return to the Jupiler Pro League.
