Max Dowman wins Arsenal Goal of the Season with Everton solo

Arsenal have announced that Max Dowman secured the club’s Goal of the Season award for 2025/26 after his solo run against Everton in March earned 38% of the fan vote. The tally placed his strike ahead of Martin Zubimendi’s volley and Leah Williamson’s header, confirming the young forward’s impact in a historic campaign.

Fans gave Dowman’s goal 38% of the total votes. Martin Zubimendi finished second with 17% for his volley against Nottingham Forest, while Leah Williamson claimed third place with 11% for her header versus Leicester City.

Arsenal highlighted that the campaign was historic for Dowman, as he became the Premier League’s youngest goalscorer. He also recorded the league’s second‑youngest appearance, behind Ethan Nwaneri, and set records as the youngest starter and youngest Premier League winner.

The goal showcased excellent technique, with Dowman displaying composure and skill to beat several defenders before tapping into an empty net. It was his first ever goal for Arsenal and secured a vital win on the route to the Premier League title.

Dowman will look to extend his strong debut campaign in the upcoming season and hopes to add further trophies with the reigning champions. He will spend the summer reflecting on his first season and resting ahead of next year’s challenges.

The club’s announcement was accompanied by a photograph taken by Alex Pantling. A later image of Dowman relaxing over the summer was supplied by Justin Setterfield.
