Arsenal in advanced talks to sign Vinicius Jr. as Arteta promises summer activity

By 4AllFootball ·

Arsenal have entered advanced negotiations with Real Madrid for the £115 million acquisition of Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr., a move that could dramatically reshape the Gunners’ attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season. The 26‑year‑old finished last term with 22 goals and 14 assists for the Spanish giants, but stalled contract talks and Madrid’s refusal to meet his wage demands have opened the door for a summer exit.

Manager Mikel Arteta confirmed the club’s urgency, stating, “We are really active, trying to improve and evolve the team… we expect to have movements in the next few weeks, because we want to get better like anybody else.” His comments underline a clear intention to address what analysts have identified as a weakness on the left flank.

If the deal goes through, Vinicius would provide a dynamic option on the left, complementing Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli and bolstering Arsenal’s bid to retain the Premier League title. His pace and creativity could add a new dimension to a side that already boasts a strong attacking core.

Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing a £102 million acquisition of RB Leipzig defender Yan Diomande, and a sale of Vinicius would help fund that target. Arsenal have also shown interest in the Ivorian centre‑back, suggesting a possible domino effect in the market.

Arsenal’s hierarchy has indicated that any agreement could be finalised within weeks, with the transfer window set to close on 31 August. Club executives are reportedly prepared to move swiftly should Real Madrid accept a suitable offer.

While other European clubs have been linked with the Brazilian, Arsenal appear to be the most vocal about their pursuit, and fans will be watching closely as both sides navigate negotiations that could reshape the European football landscape this summer.
