Mourinho Open to Selling Brahim Diaz for Defensive Signing
Jose Mourinho has been appointed manager of Real Madrid. Mourinho indicated he is ready to part with 26‑year‑old Brahim Diaz if the sale finances a priority defensive signing.
Latigo Serrano reported on his YouTube channel that Mourinho’s view on Diaz differs from the club’s valuation. The Moroccan international is valued for his versatility, but Mourinho would entertain a substantial offer.
Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing Croatian defender Josko Gvardiol as a major summer addition. Securing Gvardiol would likely require a huge financial commitment, prompting Mourinho to consider off‑loading players.
Squad depth includes Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono, who could cover positions if Diaz departs. A bid in the €60‑80 million range could trigger the sale, according to the report.
