Raskin eyes Atalanta move to link up with De Roon and De Ketelaere
Nicolas Raskin has emerged as a target for Atalanta Bergamo as they seek a successor to Ederson. The Belgian international, currently at the World Cup with the Red Devils, is valued for his performances at Rangers last season. Atalanta’s interest follows Ederson’s move to Manchester United.
Raskin, 25, impressed during his time at Rangers, where his market value rose sharply. The Italian club’s pursuit comes as they look to rebuild their midfield ahead of the new campaign. If completed, the transfer would reunite him with Marten de Roon and Charles De Ketelaere in Bergamo.
The move would see Raskin join a squad featuring two fellow Belgians, adding depth to Atalanta’s Belgian contingent. His arrival would also provide competition in midfield as the club aims to strengthen for European competition.
Atalanta’s search for a midfield replacement stems from Ederson’s departure to Manchester United. The Brazilian’s exit has opened the door for Raskin to step into a key role at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
