Roma eye Axel Disasi as €25m fee stalls move
Chelsea centre‑back Axel Disasi is again on AS Roma’s transfer radar as the market prepares to open. The Giallorossi are keen to add the French defender, but the Blues’ €25 million price tag may prove a hurdle, with both clubs aware of the defender’s desire to leave Stamford Bridge.
Roma have identified defence as a priority area for reinforcement. The club had already shown interest in Disasi during the previous transfer window.
Roma are ready to return to the fray and give Gian Piero Gasperini a new defensive reinforcement. The club views the French centre‑back as a potential solution to their back‑line concerns.
Chelsea are demanding a fee around €25 million to release Disasi. Roma appear hesitant to meet that valuation.
Disasi has indicated a wish to depart Stamford Bridge. A move to Rome could materialise if more favourable terms are reached.
Last season, Disasi spent time on loan at West Ham United, making 14 Premier League appearances. West Ham finished 18th and were relegated to the Championship.
