Ruben Amorim to start at AC Milan on July 6

Ruben Amorim, the 41‑year‑old Portuguese tactician, will arrive in Italy on July 6 to begin his tenure as AC Milan head coach, with the first pre‑season training session scheduled for July 13. His contract runs until June 2028, marking his first senior role since being dismissed by Manchester United on January 5.

Amorim will inspect the facilities at the Milanello training complex and meet the club's directors in person upon his arrival. The visit will give him a first‑hand view of the resources available for the upcoming season.

The appointment was confirmed last week, granting Amorim a contract that extends to June 2028. The long‑term deal reflects the club's confidence in his strategic vision.

Before joining AC Milan, Amorim served as manager of Manchester United. He was sacked on January 5, ending his brief spell with the English club.

After landing in Milan, Amorim is expected to travel back to Portugal for a few days to finalize paperwork. The brief return will ensure all administrative aspects of his move are completed.

The AC Milan squad is slated to commence pre‑season tests on July 12. A full training session for the players will follow the next day, aligning with Amorim's first official practice on July 13.

Amorim has indicated he will assess the entire roster before making transfer decisions. This includes evaluating loan returnees Yunus Musah, Francesco Camarda, Kevin Zeroli and Samuel Chukwueze.
