TF1 prepares a special evening around Zidane's first as head of the Bleus
Zinédine Zidane's debut in charge of the France team will be treated as a separate event, with a kickoff scheduled for 8:45 p.m. next Friday during the Nations League match against Turkey. TF1, the broadcaster of the fixture, announced an early start at 8:35 p.m. and extended coverage after the final whistle.
TF1 coverage and contributors
Grégoire Margotton and Bixente Lizarazu will provide live commentary, while Saber Desfarges will closely follow the France team. The setup will not stop at regular time: an after‑match of about twenty minutes will be dedicated to Zidane and his first steps as manager.
This special programme will allow viewers to relive the match, analyse the new manager's choices and see the first footage of this new chapter with the Blues.
Zidane has already said he wants to impose a philosophy different from Didier Deschamps's, urging his side to take the game more into their own hands.
The new manager's first squad includes five new players, a sign of a strong renewal right from the start of the campaign.
This fixture will also open a particularly dense sequence of four matches for the Blues, highlighting the importance TF1 attaches to this launch.
