Barcelona values Marc Casado at €25 million as talks begin

Marc Casado has decided to seek a new challenge away from Barcelona. Barcelona have placed a valuation of around €25 million on the midfielder. Sporting director Deco has held talks with the player’s representative Jorge Mendes about possible departures. Casado broke into the first team a season ago and became a useful midfield option. Competition in midfield is set to increase with Gavi and Marc Bernal returning to full fitness. Coach Hansi Flick already has several alternatives, which could further limit Casado’s playing time. Mendes is evaluating two concrete possibilities for Casado. One proposal comes from a European club, the other from a Saudi Arabian club. Both destinations are believed capable of meeting Barcelona’s €25 million demand. Barcelona aim to complete the sale before 30 June, the close of the current financial year. A pre‑June transfer would boost the club’s books and provide greater flexibility for the upcoming window.
