PSV's €12 million playmaker now free on the market for Greece

Armindo Bruma, 31-year-old Portuguese international, has been released by Benfica with immediate effect after his contract was terminated until mid‑2028, meaning he is now a free agent looking for a new club, the Portuguese Record reports. The 31‑year‑old winger, who previously played for PSV, is now seeking a new challenge, possibly in Greece.

Aris offers Bruma a new contract

Aris Thessaloniki has offered the 31‑year‑old winger a one‑year contract with an option for an additional season, now that he is available as a free player.

The Portuguese has previously achieved success in Greece; in 2021 he won the league title with Olympiakos, where he made nine goals and three assists in 33 official matches.

At Benfica, Bruma completely fell out of the picture in the previous season; he only featured for nineteen minutes, spread over three official games.

In the Netherlands, Bruma is mainly known from his period at PSV. The Eindhoven side bought him in 2019 from RB Leipzig for €12 million, at the time one of the most expensive signings in the club’s history. For PSV he played 81 official matches, delivering fifteen goals and ten assists.

The twelve‑time international of Portugal has now earned twelve caps.

With a contract in Greece on the horizon, Bruma is ready to continue his career, now that he is available without a transfer fee.
